Information on the schedule for the 2023 Jongmyo Myohyeon Ritual

Myohyeonrye (廟見禮) is a ritual to observe the Jongmyo Shrine where the gods of kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty are enshrined after the royal wedding of the queen or crown prince

It is very meaningful in that it is the only ritual participated by royal women.

In 2023 Jongmyo Myohyeonrye, Queen Inwon's Myohyeonrye, which was held in 1703, is reorganized into a new performance content that combines creative plays and ritual reproduction and presented to visitors. We invite you to a meaningful royal event in spring.
