Information on Jongmyo Daeje in 2022
Jongmyo Daeje is an international event designated as a UNESCO Intangible Heritage of Humanity
It is a ritual held at Jongmyo Shrine where the gods of kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty are enshrined.
It is held on the first Sunday of May every year.
This event will be held only at Yeongnyeongjeon Hall due to power outage repair work, and will be held with the minimum number of people considering the size of Yeongnyeongjeon Hall.
Only 150 online pre-bookers can participate in the Yeongnyeongjeon Hall (from 13:00 to enter the Yeongnyeongjeon Hall), and two large screens are installed in the precinct (in front of Yeongnyeongjeon Hall, in front of the power station) to broadcast the live.

- Eoga procession: 11:00 to 12:00 (Gwanghwamun → Sejong-ro 4th Street → Jongno 1, 2, 3rd Street → Jongmyo)
- Yeongnyeongjeon Hall Ritual: 14:00 to 16:00
