A Guide to the 2012 Jongmyo Myohyeon Ritual

We would like to thank the visitors for their interest and affection in World Heritage Jongmyo.

It is co-hosted by the Cultural Heritage Administration and the Korea Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation, and is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Jeonju Yi Clan Daedong Pharmacy

The sponsored Myohyeonrye event will be held at Jongmyo Shrine on October 6 and 20, 2012.

Myohyeonrye is a ritual in which the crown prince visits Jongmyo Shrine with the queen after the ceremony, and among the national rituals of Jongmyo Shrine during the Joseon Dynasty

It is the only event involving royal women, and the "Geo-dong Procession" between the queen and the crown prince extends from the entrance of the Jongmyo Shrine to the royal palace,

Afterwards, the Queen and Crown Prince's "Entrance to the Jeongjeon" and the "Goyuje" to announce the holding of the Myohyeonrye, and the first room in order to examine the shrine

It is held in the order of 'Sinsilbongsim'.

During the Joseon Dynasty, King Sukjong's annual queen and crown prince's robe, Jeokui, was restored to tradition and presented,

Fun for visitors, including the procession of the queen and crown prince's palanquin and the photo shoot with the main cast after the event
