Information on expanding the number of people eligible for free viewing at Jongmyo Shrine (Effective Date October 1, 2011)

We would like to inform you of those who are eligible for free viewing, which will be expanded from October 1, 2011.

* Those eligible for free of charge

1. state guests and their entourage

2. a diplomatic mission and its entourage

3. Children under the age of 6 (including domestic and foreigners)

4. Teenagers under the age of 18 and those aged 65 or older (Korean)

5. A person who acquires permanent residence status (F-5) under Article 12 of the Enforcement Decree of the Immigration Control Act among foreigners aged 65 or older

6. Sang-gun police undergoing restoration at national and public institutions

7. A person who enters or exits for the performance of official duties

8. Elementary, middle, and high school teachers who enter for educational activities such as student guidance (including kindergarten and childcare facility teachers)

9. A person who wears Hanbok (limited to New Year's Day, Lunar New Year's Day, and Chuseok holidays)

10. The Welfare of Persons with Disabilities Act, the Act on the Honorable Treatment and Support of Persons of Distinguished Service to the State, the 5.18 Act on the Honorable Treatment of Persons of Distinguished Service, and the War of Participation A person exempted from admission fees under the Act on the Honorable Treatment of Persons of Distinguished Service and other individual statutes

11. A person who enters to guide and guide group visitors by wearing a tourist information-related certificate, such as a tourist employee certificate under Article 38 of the Tourism Promotion Act

12. Persons with outstanding filial piety under Article 10 of the Act on Encouragement and Support of Filial Facts

13. Basic livelihood recipients under Article 2 of the National Basic Living Security Act, self-support workers, self-burden reduction targets, disability (child) allowances, single-parent family protection targets, and other lower classes recognized by the Minister of Health and Welfare

14. Person with a certificate issued by the Military Manpower Administration (limited to himself)

15. Any other person recognized by the head of the agency or the head of the relevant historical site management agency
