Guidelines for the temporary cancellation of the gatekeeper's shift ceremony (May 1)

The 2011 Jongmyo Grand Festival, a UNESCO Human Heritage Site, will be held at Jongmyo Shrine on May 1st (Sunday).

I would like to inform you that the ceremony for changing the gatekeeper of Gyeongbokgung Palace on May 1 has been canceled due to the progress of the Jongmyo Daeje event.

※ The guard ceremony (protection) of the floodgates will be held in front of Heungryemun Gate in Gyeongbokgung Palace, which will be held from 12 p.m. (12:00 to 4:00 p.m.)
