Information on the free admission of Gyeongbokgung Palace to mark the 74th anniversary of Liberation Day

To celebrate the 74th anniversary of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, the four palaces (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace), Jongmyo Shrine, and Joseon Royal Tomb are open for free.

○ Period: August 10, 2019 (Sat) to August 25 (Sun) / 16 days

※ Excluding regular holidays

- Monday: Changdeokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, and Joseon Royal Tomb (However, Yeoju Hyojong Yeongneung is specially opened on Monday until August 19 (Monday))

- Tuesday: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine

○ Subjects: Four Grand Palace (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace), Jongmyo Shrine, and Royal Tomb of Joseon

○ Gyeongbokgung Palace viewing time: 09:00 to 18:30 (admission closing time: 17:30)

※ Visitors to the reservation system, such as a moonlight tour and sponsorship tour of Changdeokgung Palace, are excluded from free viewing, and are not open on regular holidays in the four major palaces (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace), Jongmyo Shrine, and the Royal Tomb of Joseon Dynasty.
