October 7 (Sun) Hunminjeongeum Preface Writing Experience Event

In commemoration of the 561st anniversary of the Banpo of Hunminjeongeum, the Gyeongbokgung Palace Management Office (Director Choi Byung-sun) will hold a preface writing event for elementary school students at 10 a.m. on October 7 (Sunday).

This event was organized to inspire children, who are growing sprouts, to feel the significance of Hangeul Day and a sense of love for Korean and writing, and to feel the sincerity of King Sejong, who created Hangeul to relieve the people's difficulties due to write. On this day, children will write a preface with the guidance and jokes of their grandfather's medal, who works as a viewing instructor at Gyeongbokgung Palace, and who participates?There will also be a traditional cultural experience in which all girls wear samo and ayam.

The venue for the event will be held at Sujeongjeon, the site of Jiphyeonjeon, where King Sejong and Jiphyeonjeon scholars made Hangeul, and children participating in the preface writing of Hunminjeongeum will be presented with souvenirs. Children who wish to participate in the event must apply online by October 5 on the Gyeongbokgung Palace website (www.royalpalace.go.kr ).
