A Guide to the Restoration of Heungbokjeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace
As part of the basic plan for the restoration of Gyeongbokgung Palace (second stage 1), our office is carrying out the restoration of the Heungbokjeon area of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

4. General Overview
연 History
- It is estimated that the area of Heungbokjeon Hall was located in the early Joseon Dynasty.
- It was built during the reconstruction of Gyeongbokgung Palace in the 4th year of King Gojong (1867).
- It appears to have been demolished for restoration reasons after a fire in the Changdeokgung Palace Civil War in 1917.

- According to literature data related to Heungbokjeon (Chosun Dynasty Annals, Seungjeongwon Diary, Ilseongrok, etc.), the political part (129 cases, including 54 cases of competition, 54 cases of subjects), diplomatic part (15 cases of construction access), and various royal events (19 cases, including 4 cases of Ongju Buma, ritual, and 1 case).
