Gyeongbokgung Palace performs "Ulsa" for Chuseok at Namsadang Nori in an exciting Hanmadang

The Gyeongbokgung Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Choi Byung-sun) will hold Namsadang nori such as tightrope walking for domestic and foreign visitors to Gyeongbokgung Palace on Chuseok, our own holiday. Namsadang Nori, which will be held for two days from September 25 (Tue) to 26 (Wed), during the Chuseok holiday, is the most popular performance in Korea and will be held as a traditional cultural event in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Namsadang Nori is designated as Korea's Important Intangible Cultural Property No. 3 and consists of tightrope walking, pungmul nori, salpan (land tricks), and buna (body wheel spinning, bowl spinning). About 40 players from the Namsadang Nori Preservation Society will hold an exciting festival in front of Geunjeongmun Gate, starting with Gilnori, which induces spectators to Gyeongbokgung Palace outside Heungryemun Gate. In particular, Kwon Won-tae, who starred as a stand-in for high-level technology in the movie "The King's Man," which has more than 10 million viewers, will perform a flying scene against the backdrop of the palace's cool curve.

Namsadang Nori's traditional performance, which has several performance records in Gyeonghoeru Pavilion and Sajeongjeon Hall, is expected to be an exciting venue for families and relatives to enjoy while introducing our traditional culture to domestic and foreign visitors to Gyeongbokgung Palace during the Chuseok holiday.

In addition, Gyeongbokgung Palace operates traditional Korean folk games such as tuho, yutnori, Neolttwigi, and top-kicking around Sujeongjeon during the Chuseok holiday (9.24-9.26).
