The Gyeongbokgung Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Choi Byung-sun) will hold a storytelling program "The Story of Gyeongbokgung Palace told by grandmother" every Tuesday from September to October at Gyeongbokgung Geunjeongjeon and Gyeonghoeru.

In this program, guardians from the palace's guide commentary volunteer group "Rediscovery of Korea" will teach storytelling about Gyeongbokgung Palace as storytelling instructors and tell interesting stories to kindergarteners' eyes.

The participating children will have time to change into crown robes worn by the princes of the Joseon Dynasty, walk around the palace with Gu Yeon-hwa, and experience Gyeongbokgung Palace's aunt vividly.

First of all, ▲ Geunjeongjeon Hall touches the animal statue of the twelve gods carved on the railing of the Woldae and learns the meaning of it. ▲ Go up to Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, the largest wooden pavilion in Korea, and listen to the story of the palace at that time while looking at the beautiful scenery. In addition, in front of the circumstances where King ▲ was meeting with his officials after watching his daily work, he looked into the sundial "Angbuilgu" and learned how people in the past checked the time.

Applications for participation are only available as a group, and you can apply for it at the Gyeongbokgung Palace website (www. royalpalace.go.kr ) within 20 to 30 people per kindergarten (only held once on Tuesday morning).

The reservation period is from August 22, 2016 to October 18, 2016, and only Internet applications (first-come, first-served) are available.
