Open during the Chuseok holiday without a holiday
During the 2015 Chuseok holiday (Saturday, September 26th to Tuesday, September 29th), the palace and the Royal Tomb of Joseon are open free of charge on the day of Chuseok (Sunday, September 27th).
Accordingly, △Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace (excluding sponsorship), Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Jongmyo △ Joseon Royal Tomb (including King Sejong's tomb) △ Hyeonchungsa Temple (Asan, Chungcheongnam-do) △ Chilbaekuichong (Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do) will be fully open during the holiday season.
On the day of Chuseok (Sunday, September 27), all citizens are free to enter.
In addition, Jongmyo Shrine, which is usually operated on a pre-booking system, can be freely viewed during the holiday season.
At Deoksugung Palace, Korean traditional music performances "Pungryu" (September 24-28) and "Listening to Our Music at the Palace" (September 26 and September 27) will be held, and at Jongmyo Shrine, "Jongmyo Jeryeak with Story" (September 26). In addition, Hyeonchungsa Temple, Chilbaekuichong Tomb, and King Sejong's Tomb will provide opportunities for the whole family to experience traditional folk games (tuho, yutnori, etc.).
In particular, during the Chuseok holiday, the Palace and Royal Tombs will hold quiz guessing events and various cultural events to promote Cultural Heritage 3.0, which visitors can participate in.
