A special tour of the summer night of the palace begins, and walks through the night of the palace.

The Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Na Sun-hwa) will hold a special tour of the summer night of the palace for 15 days from August 12 to 28 (closed on August 18 and 25) ▲ Changgyeonggung Palace from August 11 to 27 (closed on August 17 and 24) to soothe the tired mind and body of the people and enjoy the atmosphere of the palace on a midsummer night.
The night special viewing time is from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (the closing time of admission is 9 p.m.), and the National Palace Museum will also be extended to 10 p.m. during the night special viewing period of Gyeongbokgung Palace. However, the museum is closed regularly on August 17 and 24, and Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed regularly on August 18 and 25. If you fail to make a reservation for a special night viewing, you can use Deoksugung Palace (admission until 8 p.m., viewing until 9 p.m., and closing on Monday).
The maximum number of visitors per day is 2,500 each at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace, and the purchase of tickets will be eased from the purchase limit of two tickets per person to the purchase limit of four tickets per person to make it easier for family visitors.
The general public can only make Internet reservations, and senior citizens aged 65 or older can only purchase tickets on-site or by phone, and foreigners can only purchase tickets on-site (no phone reservation).
Internet reservations will start at 2 p.m. on August 5 (Wednesday) at "Auction Ticket" and "Interpark Ticket," and Internet and phone reservations can be distributed and entered by presenting their ID cards at the ticket office on the day of viewing.

Admission fees are the same as general viewing (3,000 won for Gyeongbokgung Palace and 1,000 won for Changgyeonggung Palace). Free viewing is only applicable to 50 people with national merit and disabilities, and visitors can enter on a first-come, first-served basis if they present their national merit certificate and disability certificate at the site without prior reservation.

On the other hand, special night viewing can also be participated in volunteer activities. From July 20, the palace management office will openly recruit individuals and organizations interested in volunteering for cultural heritage. Individuals and organizations wishing to volunteer will be selected after self-examination by each palace management office if they apply to the website of the palace management center, and will be in charge of night viewing site patrols and guidance on viewing routes.
