King and Queen's outing at Gyeongbokgung Palace
The Gyeongbokgung Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Choi Byung-sun) will permanently reproduce the "Wangga's Walk" hosted by the Korea Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation (Chairman Kim Hong-ryul) at 3:30 p.m. every day from April 17 (Thursday).
"The Royal Walk" reproduces about 30 cast members, including the king and queen, walking around Hyangwonjeong Pavilion, including Gangnyeongjeon, in the 15th century in Gyeongbokgung Palace, a living space for the royal family during the Joseon Dynasty.
In particular, the 15th-century royal costumes and decorations worn by the cast were produced by the Korea Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation based on literature such as Sejong Annals and Gukjo Orye and various court records.
Even now, the "Sumunjang Shift Ceremony" and the "Gungjung Inquiry Sangcham Meeting" are held every day at Heungryemun Gate in Gyeongbokgung Palace, and the addition of the "Wangga's Walk" reenactment is expected to add to the fun of many visitors to Gyeongbokgung Palace.
