2015 Gyeongbokgung Palace Winter Night Special Observation Guide (modified)
The Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a special night tour of the old palace four times a year in 2015. First, a special winter night tour will be held ▲ Gyeongbokgung Palace will be held from February 11 to 16 and ▲ Changgyeonggung Palace will be held for six days each from February 10 to 15.
※ Scheduled for winter (February/6 days), spring (May/12 days), summer (August/12 days), and fall (10?November/12 days)
Special winter night viewing hours are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gyeongbokgung Palace and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Changgyeonggung Palace, Gwanghwamun, Geunjeongjeon, and Gyeonghoeru areas at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Honghwamun, Myeongjeongjeon, and Tongmyeongjeon areas.
The maximum number of visitors per day is 2,200 each at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace, and the purchase of tickets is limited to two per person. The general public can only make Internet reservations, and senior citizens aged 65 or older can purchase tickets through on-site purchases or phone reservations. Foreigners can only purchase tickets on-site (no phone reservation).
Internet reservations will start at 2 p.m. on February 4 at "Auction Ticket" and "Interpark Ticket," and Internet and phone reservations can enter by distributing tickets if they present their ID cards at the ticket office on the day of viewing.

※ On-site purchase: 250 sheets of Gyeongbokgung Palace (50 for the elderly, 200 for foreigners), 150 sheets of Changgyeonggung Palace (50 for the elderly, 100 for foreigners)
※ Telephone reservation (seniors aged 65 or older): Interpark (☎1544-1555, Monday-Saturday 09:00 to 20:00, Sunday and public holidays 09:00 to 18:00)
Admission fees are the same as general viewing (3,000 won for Gyeongbokgung Palace and 1,000 won for Changgyeonggung Palace). Free viewing is only applicable to 50 people with national merit and disabilities, and visitors can enter on a first-come, first-served basis if they present their national merit certificate and disability certificate at the site without prior reservation.

In addition, in order to practice cultural heritage 3.0 and expand the opportunities for the people to enjoy cultural heritage in the era of cultural prosperity, the National Palace Museum will extend the viewing time from February 11 to 15 (regular closure on the 16th) to 9 p.m. (8 p.m.) and admission is free.
In order to comply with order and prevent safety accidents, the government plans to check at the entrance to prevent visitors from bringing in flammable substances or alcohol and crack down on street stalls.
On the other hand, open recruitment of night special viewing volunteers is conducted for organizations and companies interested in cultural heritage volunteer work. If you apply to the palace management center's website from January 12 to February 6, you will be selected after self-examination by the palace management center, and you will be in charge of night watch site patrols and tour routes.
