2014 Cultural Heritage Protection Merit Award Plan Guide

The Cultural Heritage Administration would like to offer government rewards to those or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the preservation, research, and utilization of cultural heritage, so please recommend it.

1. Reward details

go. Reward category: 3 categories

○ Conservation Management Division: Preservation, Management, Damage, Loss Prevention, and Protection of Cultural Properties

○ Academic Research Division: Academic and Scientific Research on Cultural Properties

○ Service Utilization: Service, public relations, education, and utilization of cultural properties

I. Reward scale

○ Order of Culture: 3 people

○ Presidential commendation: 5 people (10 million won each)

※ The size and training of rewards may be changed according to the results of consultation by the Ministry of Safety and Administration

2. Grand Prize

go. Order of Cultural Merit

○ A person who has made a clear contribution to the development of the field of preservation, research, utilization, etc. of cultural heritage of the Republic of Korea for at least 20 years, regardless of nationality and survival

I. Presidential Commendation

○ An individual or organization that has contributed to the development of the field, such as preservation, research, utilization, etc. of cultural heritage of the Republic of Korea for at least five years, regardless of nationality and survival

3. Date and place of reward: December 8, 2014 (Monday) / National Palace Museum (planned)

4. Recommendation of reward recipients

7. Restriction on Recommendation, etc

go. No reparations

○ No medals or medals are awarded repeatedly for the same achievements

(Prohibition of duplicate grants under Article 4 of the Award and Honours Act)

○ Failure to award a medal of the same kind or lower grade as the medal already received, and failure to award the same kind of reward as the package already received

(Prohibition of awarding medals and packages of the same class in Article 17-2 of the Enforcement Decree of the Award and Merit Act)

○ A person who has received a medal or package shall not receive a medal or package again within five years, regardless of the type of order or package, and shall not receive a presidential commendation or a prime minister's commendation again within two years (guidance)

○ A person who has received the President or Prime Minister's commendation shall be rewarded by the government again within two years, Unable to receive President and Prime Minister's commendation (guidelines)

○ An organization that has received a group commendation cannot receive a group commendation again publicly in the same field within two years (guidelines)

○ A person who has received the "Korea Cultural Heritage Award" cannot receive a government reward again within two years in the same field

I. Recommendation restriction

○ a person subject to criminal punishment, etc

- a person charged and pending a criminal trial

- A person who is sentenced to imprisonment without work or more and has not elapsed for five years after the execution thereof is terminated

- A person who has not passed five years after he/she was sentenced to imprisonment with work or more and was confirmed not to be executed

- A person who has not elapsed three years from the date on which the probation period is completed in the case of receiving a suspended sentence of imprisonment without work or more

- A person who is in the middle of the period where he/she has received a suspended sentence of imprisonment with work or more

- A person who has been fined at least twice within two years prior to the date of recommendation of a reward

- A person who has been fined at least KRW 2 million once within two years prior to the date of recommendation of a reward

○ According to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the list is published in relation to industrial accidents, etc Place of business and its executives, etc

○ Corporations violating the Fair Trade-Related Act and their executives

○ A delinquent business owner who has disclosed the list or provided data to the National Federation of Banks in connection with overdue wages under the Labor Standards Act

○ a person who is socially criticized
