The Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Na Sun-hwa) will hold a special opening at night at the old palace in time for spring flowers ▲ Changgyeonggung Palace will be held from April 29 to May 11 (closed May 5) ▲ Gyeongbokgung Palace will be held from April 30 to May 12 (closed May 6).

The maximum number of visitors per day was 1,700 at Changgyeonggung Palace and 1,500 at Gyeongbokgung Palace until this winter, but in order to expand the opportunity to enjoy cultural heritage 3.0 in the era of cultural prosperity, the number of visitors will be increased by 500 only in spring and autumn.

The daily number of visitors is ▲ 2,200 people at Changgyeonggung Palace (2,070 Internet, 130 on-site sales) ▲ 2,000 people at Gyeongbokgung Palace (1,890 Internet, 110 on-site sales), and the viewing time is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The open area is ▲ Changgyeonggung Palace is in the areas of Honghwamun, Myeongjeongjeon, Tongmyeongjeon, and Chundangji, ▲ Gyeongbokgung Palace is in the areas of Gwanghwamun, Heungryemun, Geunjeongjeon, and Gyeonghoeru.

The closing time for admission is 9 p.m., an hour before the end of the viewing, and the admission fee is ▲ 1,000 won for Changgyeonggung Palace ▲ 3,000 won for Gyeongbokgung Palace. In addition, in order to provide viewing opportunities to many people, the purchase of admission tickets will be limited to "two tickets per person" (Internet, on-site).

Internet reservations (general and senior citizens) are available from 2 p.m. on April 22 to 2 p.m. on April 23 at Auction Ticket (http://ticket.auction.co.kr ). Meanwhile, senior citizens and foreigners aged 65 or older who have difficulty using the Internet during the sales period can book by phone (except Mondays to Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays and holidays) only for ▲ 65 Changgyeonggung Palace and 55 Gyeongbokgung Palace. In addition, a total of 100 people (free including 1 guardian) and infants (under 6 years of age) accompanied by their parents can enter the site for free.

In addition, the National Palace Museum is expected to contribute to enjoying a cultural life by opening it free of charge until 10 p.m. (9 p.m. to meet high-quality Joseon royal relics during the night opening of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

When visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace, it will check at the entrance to prevent visitors from bringing flammable substances or alcohol into the old palace in cooperation with related agencies such as the National Police Agency, the National Emergency Management Agency, and Jongno-gu Office for order and safety management.

Meanwhile, organizations and companies interested in cultural heritage volunteering will be openly recruited from April 1 to 21 during the special opening period of the spring night. Volunteer organizations and companies recruited publicly receive simple education such as the history of the old palace and safety management tips, and patrol the night opening site or guide the viewing route. Organizations and companies wishing to volunteer will be selected after self-examination by each palace management office if they apply to the website of the palace management office (see below).
