Notification of Gyeongbokgung Palace opening at night in the first half of 2012
As part of the "Four Living Grand Palace, Making Jongmyo" project, Gyeongbokgung Palace will be opened at night as follows to promote the beauty and excellence of the old palace to Koreans and foreigners and to promote opportunities to enjoy cultural heritage.
1. Opening period: 2012.5.16 (Wed) to 2012.5.20 (Sun) / 5 days
2. Open range: Gwanghwamun, Heungryemun, Geunjeongmun, Geunjeongjeon (National Treasure No. 223), and Gyeonghoeru (National Treasure No. 224) areas
3. Opening hours: 09:00-22:00 Night opening (※21:00 Admission is closed)
- Visitors will be concentrated during the 21:00 admission deadline, so please come leisurely.
* The revised exhibition "Listening to Our Music at the Palace" will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from May 18 (Friday) to 20 (Sunday)
* Daytime opening (09:00-18:00) hours to 22:00 nights extended
* Admission to Gyeongbokgung Palace is 3,000 won for adults and free for teenagers.
* The night opening in the second half of 2012 will take place in October.
