This is to inform you of the expansion of free opening such as palaces and tombs for teenagers and low-income families.
- After piloting from October to December 2011, full-scale implementation from 2012 -
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Cultural Heritage Administration, the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Kim Chan) will open palaces, tombs, and historical institutions free of charge for three months from October to December.
Accordingly, teenagers aged 7 to 18, basic living recipients, and the second-highest class (next-highest self-burden reduction, self-support workers, single-parent family protection, and disability (child) allowances) will be newly included in the free viewing list.
When entering, the relevant person presents a predetermined ID card, certificate, etc., and enters for free after identification, and for teenagers, student ID card, youth ID card, and cultural voucher card or related confirmation card for low-income families?You can present the certificate (within one year of issuance).
Those who are eligible for free viewing should get a free ticket at the ticket office and enter.
However, the sponsorship of Changdeokgung Palace, which is conducting limited viewing to protect the natural landscape forest, will maintain paid viewing as before.
This free opening will officially take effect in 2012 after a three-month trial period, and it is expected to expand free opening to provide future generations with opportunities to recognize the excellence and value of our cultural heritage and enhance the right to enjoy culture.
