The Cultural Heritage Administration conducts the Cultural Heritage Administration Life Sympathy Policy National Idea Contest as follows to receive various policy ideas that can enhance customer convenience with a little improvement in each field of cultural property administration.

□ Public offering period: June 14, 2011 (Tue) - July 13, 2011 (Wed) (1 month)

□ Participation target: Any Korean citizen can participate

□ Public Offering Field: Various policy ideas that can enhance customer convenience by improving a little in each field of cultural property administration

* Measures for preservation, management, and utilization of cultural properties, etc

□ How to participate

- National Newspaper (www.epeople.go.kr ) → National Proposal → Public Offer

- Cultural Heritage Administration (www.cha.go.kr ) → Pop-up Zone → Link to National Newspaper

* Use the form attached to the public offering proposal (within two sheets) to prepare the proposal

* A proposal with the same content is accepted only if it is submitted first

1. Patent rights and practical use acquired by othersA public official who belongs to a new right, design right, or copyright

Compensation has been finalized pursuant to the Regulations on Disposition, Management, Compensation, etc. of Job Inventions

2. Proposals already adopted or similar in their basic ideas

3. What is considered impossible to apply according to the general conception

4. mere ventilation, sedation, criticism, suggestion, or expression of dissatisfaction

5. Matters not related to the affairs of the State or local governments

□ Examination procedure: Examination of the adoption of the competent department (1st) → Final examination by the National Proposal Examination Committee of the Cultural Heritage Administration (2nd)

□ Criteria for examination: Reality, creativity, effectiveness, applicability, etc

□ Announcement of adoption status and excellent proposal: August 11, 2011 (Thu) Individual notification (planned)

□ Reward details : Listing of the head of the Cultural Heritage Administration and payment of prize money

- Grand Prize: 1 case (listed and prize money of 500,000 won)

- Excellent award: 2 cases (300,000 won in listing and prize money)

- Award: 3 cases (listed and prize money of KRW 100,000)

* Where it does not fall under the above grade among the adopted proposals: Cultural gift certificates worth 20,000 won shall be paid

* Reward details may change depending on the number and level of applications

(If there is no excellent proposal according to the results of the examination, it may not be selected.)

□ The selected excellent proposal will be recommended to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security as a central excellent proposal (September)

- The Presidential Award, Prime Minister's Award, and Minister's Award will be given through the Ministry of Public Administration and Security's self-examination (2012). End of September)
