Hosting the Palace Youth Culture School
Along with the rediscovery of Korea and the breathing of our culture, the Cultural Heritage Administration operates the "Gungo Youth Culture School" at the four major palaces and Jongmyo Shrine for elementary school students during the summer vacation. Reservations for the "Gungo Youth Culture School" are only made on the online reservation page (http://edu.cha-res.net ), and on-site applications are not accepted. For more information, please refer to the event outline below and the appointment information. - Overview of the event - ○ Event Name: 2014 Gogung Youth Culture School ○ Period: July 22nd (Tue) to August 16th (Sat), 2014 4 weeks, 4 times each *August 15th (Fri) will be held normally on Liberation Day. ○ Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (2 hours in total) ○ Reservation period: 1 p.m. on July 7th (Monday) to 6 p.m. on August 8th (Friday) ○ Reservation method: First-come-first-served application through the Internet reservation system (http://edu.cha-res.net ) *All reservations are made at the same time. ○ Day of operation by palace: Changdeokgung Palace-Tuesday/Gyeongbokgung Palace-Su/Deoksugung Palace-Thursday/Changgyeonggung Palace-Geum/Jongmyo-Sat ○ Participants: 3rd to 6th graders of elementary school *Secondary classes are not open from 2014. ○ Seminar: 2 classes in lower grades (3rd to 4th grade) and upper grades (5th to 6th grade) ○ Participation fee: Free *Only children confirmed at the registration site after reservation can enter after purchasing a palace ticket. ○ Education content: Theory and field trips on history and major cultural heritages by palace ※ In case of rain, field trips can be changed. ○ Certificate of completion: After participating in the Gogung Youth Culture School, it can be issued after a survey on the Internet reservation system ○ Preparation: Writing equipment (textbooks are paid on-site on the same day), hats, umbrellas, etc. ○ Other: 1. Applications are made after parents' identification. Identification is done by mobile phone authentication. 2. Up to two children can be booked per parent, and each child can make a reservation once for each palace. (Up to 2 people per person, 1 palace reservation per person) 3.
