Follow the footsteps of the Korean Empire - Guide to Participation
The Joseon Royal Tomb Management Office (Director Nam Hyo-dae), the National Palace Museum (Director Choi Jong-deok), and the Deoksugung Palace Management Office (Director Kwak Soo-chul) will hold a Korean Empire history tour program "Following the footsteps of the Korean Empire" on the 27th and May 25th. Participants first gather at Deoksugung Palace, the royal palace of the Korean Empire, and listen to a lecture titled "The Royal Family of the Korean Empire Sleeping in Hongneung and Yureung" from 1 p.m. to learn about royal families such as King Gojong and King Sunjong. ▲ After visiting the Seokjojeon Hall of Korean Empire History, a representative modern building in Deoksugung Palace where the Korean Empire was declared, we move to Namyangju and wrap up the six-hour tour with Hongneung and Yureung, the last resting place for the Korean Empire's royal families. Participation applications are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the website of the Joseon Royal Tomb Management Office (http://royaltombs.cha.go.kr , Participatory Madang).
