The Deoksugung Palace Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a "Seokjojeon Concert" with the Kumho Cultural Foundation (Chairman Lee Won-tae) at 7 p.m. on November 29 (Wednesday) at Seokjojeon Hall (Jung-gu, Seoul).

Seokjojeon Concert was planned in 2015 based on the record that piano player Kim Young-hwan played piano for Emperor Gojong at Seokjojeon Hall in Deoksugung Palace in the 1910s. High-quality classical music can be enjoyed in a special space called the palace, attracting great response and interest from the audience over the years.

The concert will feature Kumho Cultural Foundation, which has been working together every year to discover and foster Korean classical music talent, and will feature members of the "Geumho Soloists," who are recognized for their talent on the world stage.

Under the theme of "Jong Chun-Ji-Mo 慕 終" and "The Love that continues until the end of this world," it will show the affectionate and sometimes cold side of love contained in Brahms' work. In addition, Brahms' String Quintet No. 1, "Spring," Op. 88, String Quintet No. 2, and Op. 111 will be played, and violinists Baek Joo-young, Lee Ji-hye, viola players Kim Sang-jin, Lee Han-na, and cello player Kim Min-ji, who are active as the nation's top players, will perform fantastic chords.

The performance will be free of charge, and reservations can be made on a first-come, first-served basis (80 people) from 10 a.m. on the 22nd (Wednesday) at the Deoksugung Palace Management Office website (www.deoksugung.go.kr , reservation application). Elderly people aged 65 or older, disabled people, and foreigners can apply on site only for 10 seats. For more information, contact the Deoksugung Palace Management Office (☎02-751-0740) for information. For reference, the day of the performance (November 29) is 'Culture Day', and you can enter Deoksugung Palace free of charge.

The Deoksugung Palace Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration hopes that the concert will allow visitors to enjoy the atmosphere of late autumn, which is overflowing with Brahms' string melody, and plans to continue to provide opportunities to enjoy various cultural activities in our palace.
