[Event] Deoksugung Palace's Autumn Night, Colored with Korean Traditional Music

The Deoksugung Palace Management Office (Director Kwon Sang-soo) of the Palace Relics Headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a Korean traditional music performance "Deoksugung Night" at 7 p.m. for three days from October 5th (Thu) to 7th (Sat Deoksugung Jeonggwanheon (Jung-gu, Seoul).

Deoksugung Night is the first performance prepared by Deoksugung Palace and the Gugak Center to provide visitors to Deoksugung Palace with an opportunity to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the old palace on autumn nights and enjoy Korean traditional music.

The concert will feature a variety of Korean traditional music, ranging from Jeongak enjoyed by the royal court and scholars to pansori and folk songs loved by the people. It means "a dragon in the water recites," and "Suryongeum," which shows the elegance and beauty of the ancient palace

Starting with the performance of "Yeongsanhoesang," which was enjoyed by scholars in the late Joseon Dynasty, "Fan Sanjo Dance," which combines Gayageum Sanjo and fan dance, and "Geommu," a court dance familiar to us, will be staged.

The last one will be decorated with pansori and folk songs that melt our excitement and sorrow, and the story of Simcheongga's central volunteer going up to Hwangseong to attend the feast, and Santaryeong, which was sung in Seoul and Seodo,

And our representative folk song <Arirang> is prepared.

You can participate in the performance free of charge (excluding admission fee to Deoksugung Palace), and up to 70 people (2 tickets per person) per episode can be applied from 2 p.m. on September 14th (Thursday) through the National Gugak Center's website (www.gugak.go.kr ).
