Notification of "Children's Day Event"

Hello, this is Changgyeonggung Palace Management Office.

This is the news of the Children's Day Celebration to be held at Changgyeonggung Palace this year.

1. Event name: Drawing our zodiac sign

2. Date: May 5, 2009 (Tue) 2 p.m. to 4 p.m

3. Place: Around Gwancheondae in Changgyeonggung Palace (Move to the left after entering the main gate)

4. Contents of the event

보기 Draw 11 constellations on our constellation map (astronomical train field map)

별자리 Participants who complete the constellation map will be given souvenirs (rocket-shaped bar balloons)

5. How to participate: On-site application on the same day (first-come, first-served 700 people)

Around the venue, there are 20 panels that introduce scientific cultural properties of the Joseon Dynasty, including Honcheonui.

We ask for your interest and participation in this event, where children familiar with Western constellations and astronomical science will be exposed to our ancestors' universe worldview and science and technology.
