Enjoying Spring Flowers at the Palace
Hello
It's the Changgyeonggung Palace Management Office.
The Changgyeonggung Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a spring flower event under the theme of "Enjoying Spring Flowers in the Palace" from March 28 to April 30 at Changgyeonggung Palace, where spring history and nature sprout.
During this period, you can see yellow ginger trees and coriander trees that bloom first in spring, as well as azaleas and plum trees that show off their beautiful appearance by blooming flowers before leaves.
Cherry Blossom Tree, the queen of spring! Most of the cherry blossom trees of the Changgyeongwon era disappeared as part of the Changgyeonggung Restoration Project in the 1980s, and the traditional Korean garden tree, Wang Cherry Tree, remains in full bloom around mid-April.
On the first day of the event, cultural heritage volunteer groups and employees will also be provided with spring cleaning for the spring refurbishment of Changgyeonggung Palace, as well as opportunities for visitors to plant wildflowers and grandmother flower seedlings that mean filial piety.
In addition, photos of Changgyeonggung Spring flowers taken by professional artists will be displayed in the Changgyeonggung Grand Greenhouse, Korea's first greenhouse decorated with natural monuments, as well as wild flowers blooming in spring such as falcon and golden cypress.
