Dreams and hopes embroidered in the old sky on Children's Day
- Drawing our own constellations at Gwancheondae -
On the occasion of the 86th Children's Day, the Changgyeonggung Palace Management Office (Director Lee Man-hee) of the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a highly responsive experiential event called "Drawing Our Own Constellation at Gwancheondae."
With the birth of Korea's first astronaut, participants can draw major constellations on the back of the 10,000-won bill with our own constellation picture and learn about scientific instruments used in the Joseon Dynasty, such as the rare opportunity to encounter them. If you participate in the event and complete a picture of the constellation, you can also receive a specially made rocket-shaped stick balloon, and children familiar with Western-style constellations such as Sagittarius and Scorpio will experience our ancestors' worldview and science and technology.
