The Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Byeon Young-seop) will open the 4 Grand Palace and Jongmyo Shrine (excluding special visits to ancient palaces such as viewing Changdeokgung Palace) and the Royal Tomb of Joseon to the public under the age of 24 from August 12 (Mon).

Until now, it has been opened free of charge to the public under the age of 18, but with the expansion of the free opening, people aged 19 to 24 will be able to see the four grand palaces and tombs for free.
The free opening is part of the government's support measures for low-income teenagers and students from multicultural families, and will take place on August 12, the International Youth Day set by the United Nations (UN) to arouse people's interest in youth.
If you wish to visit the palace or the palace for free, you can present your student ID, youth ID, resident registration card, driver's license, etc. at the ticket office of the palace or the palace and enter with a free ticket.
In addition, the Cultural Heritage Administration decided to implement the "Pre-Reservation System for Youth Groups" and the "Allocation System for Leads, including Instructors," from August 12 (Mon), when free viewing is expanded. If more than 35 students, such as 35 or more students, want to see the group, they must make a reservation in advance on the website of the relevant palace and ridge, and one guidance teacher for each 35 teenagers, including students, must be assigned to guide them from the entrance to the end of the tour.
The "pre-booking system for youth groups" and the "allocation system for leaders such as instructors" will be implemented to keep the order of viewing and focus on learning cultural heritage, and will be mandatory from January 1, 2014 after a voluntary compliance period (5 months).
In addition, from August 12 (Mon), the information leaflet of the four grand palaces and tombs, which had been distributed free of charge and abandoned, will be paid 500 won per copy.
