"Changgyeonggung Palace, Hanji Dressing Day" Event Notification
As part of the Palace Daily Management Reproduction and Experience Event, the Changgyeonggung Palace Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Cho Song-rae) will hold a special event called Changgyeonggung, Hanji Dressing Day at 2 p.m. on November 13 at Tongmyeongjeon Hall.
Organized by the Korea Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation (Chairman Lee Se-seop), this event allows visitors to see and experience the replacement of Korean paper in Changgyeonggung Palace before winter comes.
During the reenactment of Hanji application, a commentator tells interesting stories, Hanji, and window doors related to Tongmyeongjeon, and after the reenactment event, visitors will receive on-site applications to experience various experiences such as tearing Hanji, applying Hanji, and wiping the floor. The experience will be received on a first-come, first-served basis on the site.
In addition to the special reenactment and experience of applying Hanji at Tongmyeongjeon Hall in Changgyeonggung Palace, Gangnyeongjeon Hall and Gyotaejeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace will be reproduced on November 8 and 10, and Seokbokheon and Seongjeonggak in Changdeokgung Palace on November 13 to 14.
Meanwhile, at Jongmyo Shrine, you can observe and participate in the cleaning and grooming of the ritual for Jongmyo at 1 p.m. on the 6th.
