Mandatory real-name authentication of resident registration replacement services
Since September 2008, it has become mandatory to use real-name authentication, an alternative service for resident registration, when registering as a member.
Real name authentication of national institutions uses the public I-PIN service, an alternative service for resident registration provided by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.
The Changdeokgung Palace website also receives a public I-PIN member ID and password authentication instead of entering the resident registration number when signing up.
If you have not been certified as a public I-PIN member when signing up for the Changdeokgung Palace website, you must sign up for a public I-PIN member separately, and you can authenticate your real name by using your member ID/password.
