The reenactment of "Yeongyeongdang Jang Jin-rye" by the royal court of Changdeokgung Palace (Tuesday, September 10)

The Changdeok Palace Management Office of the Palace Relics Headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a performance at Yeongyeongdang sponsored by Changdeokgung Palace on the 10th to academically verify Korean traditional dances and costumes based on the contents of "Sunjo Muja Jinjak Uigwe."

*"Jinjakrye" refers to a ceremony in which officials post alcohol and food to the king on a special day of the royal family. "Joseon Sunjo Muja Year Yeongyeongdang Jin Jang Jeungrye" is a royal feast organized by Crown Prince Hyomyeong to celebrate the 40th birthday of his mother, Queen Sunwon (1789-1857, Sunjobi) in the year of Sunjo Muja (June of the lunar calendar in 1828.
