Good luck at Changdeokgung Palace.

The Changdeokgung Palace Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Ahn Jung-yeol) will provide an opportunity to make and take spring chives and sotdae from the square in front of Yeongyeongdang on February 4 to mark the start of spring.

In order to welcome the new spring in the early spring, the words built by the officials and attached to the pillars of the palace were called Chunchupja (called Chunchuk in the private sector), and it is said that they were attached in the hope that good things will happen to the country or family.

Sotdae was built at the entrance of the village on the fifteenth of lunar January, and a bird was made of wood on it, and it was one of the symbols of the traditional agricultural society as a folk belief that wished for a good harvest.

Chuncheopja and Sotdae are expected to be talisman of health and good luck in the midst of Korean tradition, which wished for peace and a good harvest for the country or family.

The event will be held for visitors who enter from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on February 4 (Wednesday), and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who visit two or more households with a limited set of 300 spring chives and 100 sotdae.
