Introduction to the Changdeokgung Rice Cutting Event (10.21)

The Changdeokgung Palace Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Bae Joong-kwon) will hold a rice harvesting event at Okryucheon Cheonguijeong Pavilion on October 21 (Wednesday) with the Rural Development Administration. In May, the rice that produced rice seedlings began to bear fruit and bow after changing seasons even in the strict space of the palace. The variety of rice to be harvested this time was selected as Jowun Rice (a new type of high-quality early-growing rice fostered by the Rural Development Administration). The king's heart, which wanted to count the hard work and naive Nongshim of the people outside the palace, will be conveyed to many who live in the present. The event, which starts at 11 a.m., will be jointly organized with the Rural Development Administration to display rice harvesting and diversified rice varieties, and only sponsored visitors can attend.
