Changdeokgung Okryucheon Rice Cutting Event (October 28th, Cheonguijeong Pavilion, Changdeokgung Palace)
The Changdeokgung Palace Management Office of the Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Bae Joong-kwon) will hold a traditional rice harvesting event at Cheonguijeong Pavilion in Okryucheon Stream on October 28 with the Rural Development Administration. In May, the rice that produced rice seedlings began to bear fruit and bow after changing seasons even in the strict space of the palace. The early generation of crude rice harvested this time (a new breed fostered by the Rural Development Administration) was selected as a breed with strong clothing, quick ears, and excellent rice taste due to its short height. It is expected that the king's heart, which wanted to count the hard work and naive Nongshim of the people outside the palace, will be conveyed to many who live in the present. The event, which starts at 11 a.m., will be organized jointly with the Rural Development Administration to display rice cutting and various rice varieties, and visitors to Changdeokgung Palace can freely observe.
