Changdeokgung Internal Medicine Experience Event Held

The Cultural Heritage Administration (Director Kim Chan) will hold a "Changdeokgung Internal Clinic Experience Event" at Seongjeonggak in Changdeokgung Palace from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. from the 31st to June 3rd with the Korea Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation (Chairman Lee Se-seop) and the Korean Oriental Medicine Association (Chairman Kim Jung-gon). This event will be held as one of the reenactment and experience events of the palace's daily life, and will be held for four days each in the first half (5.31-6.3) and the second half (scheduled for mid-September). It is held at Seongjeonggak, Changdeokgung Palace, which was used as a royal medical institution during the Joseon Dynasty, and is operated as a simple oriental medicine treatment and visitor experience program. Oriental medicine treatment will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and oriental medicine experience events such as diagnosing, prescribing, traditional acupuncture, moxibustion, and oriental medicine physical therapy will be held for about 80 visitors who apply every day. In particular, on the 31st of the first day, celebratory performances such as Cheoyongmu, Ogomu, and Gayageum Byeongchang, which open the doors of the inner clinic, and opening events such as the king's journey, will be an opportunity for visitors to have a special experience along with oriental medicine. The Changdeokgung Palace Internal Clinic Experience Event is an unusual project in that it provides opportunities to experience the palace along with promoting the excellence of traditional oriental medicine in response to the increased interest in oriental medicine since Donguibogam was registered as a world record. Participation fees are free, excluding admission to Changdeokgung Palace (3,000 won for adults).
